CheapCaribbean Entices 8,000 Nurses into its ER&R Club

CheapCaribbean knew that nurses need a vacation, and that their good incomes and flexible schedules make them an ideal customer. So the brand created a travel club that offered nurses exclusive deals, and recruited members by giving them the opportunity to win one of 50 free roundtrip airfares for two to a CheapCaribbean locale of their choice.

The campaign brought in 8,000 new customers and inspired the company to create similar programs for teachers, first responders, and the military—groups that also aligned strongly with its brand. Those campaigns have been just as successful, demonstrating the power of simply knowing your audience and rewarding them with personalized offers.

The Story

CheapCaribbean’s team of “beachologists” offers low-cost luxury vacation packages for travellers to visit the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America. The company wanted to create a promotion for nurses—a consumer community that aligns well with their brand—but had learned from a similar campaign for teachers that manually verifying them would be costly and ineffective.
